PANASONIC’S NEW MULTI-FUNCTION PRINTERS

Panasonic today announces the availability of two new multi-function printers, the KX-MB271 and KX-MB781, ideal for home offices and small businesses that need an easy-to-use and affordable solution that packs a variety of office functions into one machine.

The KX-MB271 is an integrated laser printer, color scanner and flatbed copier.  Featuring a laser printer that provides high-quality reproduction at 600 dpi x 600 dpi resolution in every document – whether printed or copied, the KX-MB271 also boasts high-speed printing and copying of up to 18 pages per minute and a quick warm-up time of 15 seconds.

The copier function features a 20-sheet automatic document feeder, and its built-in flatbed design can accommodate originals of varying shapes and sizes, making it possible to copy, scan or fax documents such as newspaper clippings, greeting cards and business cards. Using a Contact Image Sensor (CIS), the KX-MB271 makes high-quality image production possible.  The KX-MB271 also has a color scanner capable of producing scans with a resolution of 600 dpi x 1200 dpi (with flatbed) or 600 dpi x 300 dpi when using the 20-sheet automatic document feeder.

The KX-MB781 shares all of the features of the KX-MB271, but also adds a laser fax and capability for LAN connection, so it can be shared with other printers and scanners within one network, making this 5-in-1 machine extremely versatile for a home office or small business.  The networking capability of the KX-MB781 makes it ideal for offices that have more than one machine, and allows the user to seamlessly attach scanned data into an email and send.  Also, scanned data can be emailed in a PDF file directly from the KX-MB781 by typing the address into the keypad, meaning no computer is needed.

Both models are available for manufacturers’ suggested retail prices of $149.95 for the KX-MB271 and $199.95 for the KX-MB781.
